Scotland

Scotland to me means all things big; big mountains, big lochs, big wild spaces. I LOVE it. I’ve also quite a soft spot for Scotland’s cities. Some of my absolute favourite outdoors times have been in Scotland and I try and visit as often as time, monies and logistics allow.

Here are a collection of resources that you can use to help inspire and plan your trip.

Glenmore Lodge – run by sportscotland this amazing centre runs courses on just about every outdoor discipline you can imagine. The accommodation is great – don’t be put off by the idea of sharing a room after a full day out on the hills you will at worst crash out and be oblivious of your roommate, at best you’ll have made a new outdoorsy friend for life. The food is fantastic and the instructors second to none.

Walk Highlands – one of the best walking websites featuring all sorts of walks, hikes and scrambles all over Scotland
